SEO? Are you some kind of Wizards?
Yes… Successful professional SEO’s (Search Engine Optimizers) have a lot in common with wizards. With an inordinate amount of time put into research and testing, we are both able to perform magic. There’s a reason why wizards have the long white beards. It takes A LOT OF TIME AND EFFORT! Along with the time and effort, it takes, analytical thinking and the ability to problem solve when anticipating future algorithm movements.
Though there is a big difference between successful SEO’s and imposters. All web designers feel they’ve earned a degree of respect as an SEO for some keyword or another. The thing to keep in mind is that no 2 keywords hold the same value. Getting to #1 for the word “mortgage” is far more difficult than #1 is for “Sam’s Fish and Chips on 3rd Street and Main.” Be wary of any SEO that can’t show specific examples of #1 placement for competitive keywords.
