Other than the energy we use for our computers, we’re a pretty green web firm. We Recycle everything, invest in Solar Energy, and now we’re starting to Reforest the Brazilian Atlantic Forest. We’re doing it ten trees at a time. Read more…

Maui Sunset Cruise

Here’s a short video of the Kai Kanani for its sunset cocktail cruise. It leaves from in front of the Maui Prince Resort in Wailea/Makena. Great food, friendly fun crew, open bar, and a wonderful overall experience.

The video was made with a sepia tone to make it feel like an old sailing video. The music confirms this by adding to the general feel of the video. The video is light and fun, much like the trip out of South Maui.

The Green Flash - Fact or Fiction?

The Green FlashOne of the amazing things about Maui and Hawaii in general that you’ve probably heard about is the GREEN FLASH! This is when, supposedly, the sun and ocean meet at sunset and a quick flash of green transpires.

Is this True?

Yes! Personally, I can attest to it happening. Does it happen often? No. Having watched hundreds, if not thousands, of sunsets over the water on Maui, I’ve personally only seen it happen a few times. I think this is what makes it so exciting, mysterious, and grand. Its elusiveness isn’t the only thing that makes it difficult for people to believe. Often, when it does happen, not everyone catches it. The Green Flash happens in a blink of the eye just as the sun disappears into the ocean. You won’t see anything like what was shown in the Pirates of the Caribbean movie, but it is something to remember.

Is this photo real?

For those curious: the photo on the left is not an actual picture of the Green Flash at sunset. We manipulated it with photoshop. We’ve yet to capture the phenomena on camera. Give us a few more years…
